Postpartum Doula

Emotional Support

A postpartum doula offers emotional support to parents as they navigate the transition into parenthood. This may include listening to their concerns, providing encouragement, and offering reassurance during this period of adjustment.

Sibling Support

For families with older children, postpartum doulas may offer support and activities to help siblings adjust to the arrival of a new baby and ensure they feel included and cared for during this transition.

Partner Support

Postpartum doulas support partners in their role as caregivers, offering guidance on how they can best support the new mother and bond with their new baby..

Household Support

Postpartum doulas help with light household tasks such as meal preparation, laundry, and tidying up to allow parents to focus on bonding with their newborn and getting adequate rest.

Informational Support

Prior to labor, I will work with you ensuring you are well-informed, confident, and ready for the transformative experience of childbirth. I will help educate you and your partner, if applicable, about the various stages of labor, medical procedures, and birthing options. Together, we can also work together to create a birth plan with options if needed, outlining preferences for labor and delivery.

Physical Support

Postpartum doulas assist with physical recovery after childbirth, offering guidance on self-care practices, providing assistance with breastfeeding or bottle-feeding, helping with newborn care tasks such as diapering and bathing, and offering support with any postpartum physical discomfort the mother may be experiencing.

Community Referrals

Postpartum doulas may provide referrals to other community resources such as lactation consultants, mental health professionals, parenting classes, or support groups to help parents access additional support and services as needed.

Our Postpartum Journey

  • Meeting

    Meet and Greet

Our journey together begins with a complimentary meet and greet, providing us the opportunity to connect, discuss your needs, and ensure that our partnership aligns seamlessly with your vision for postpartum support.

  • Newborn

    Your Postpartum Package Begins

After your little one arrives, you will let me know via text or email, and we will begin scheduling 2-4 hour blocks, totalling the number of hours you have purchased. You can always add more hours, however, there is no guarantee I will be available, so I highly suggest planning ahead and purchasing more than you think you need!

  • Meal Prep

Along with all the typical postpartum doula work, I also offer meal prep for you and your family! Nutritious meals are essential for postpartum recovery. I offer meal prep services, preparing nourishing meals and snacks to support your healing and energy levels.

  • Optional Overnight Doula Support

For added support and peace of mind, overnight doula support is available upon request and availability. I offer overnight care to help you get the rest you need while ensuring your baby's needs are met.
